Pinkeye: Eye pain or vision changes need a same-day in-person eye exam.
- Eye pain, or pain that is more than mild irritation
- Blurred vision or vision changes that do not clear with blinking
- Marked light sensitivity
- A red eye in a contact lens wearer
- An injury to the eye, or a chemical splash
- Severe swelling or redness of the eyelids with fever
- Symptoms not improving after 3 days of prescribed drops
